4-Shared Free File Sharing

I just signed up with 4-shared free file sharing and uploaded the cluster frame I did a while ago.  I made a post-trial mode to check if it will work and luckily, I was able to download it.  Since I still don’t know how to create elements of my own, what I would like to do is to offer as freebie on my site whatever clusters I usually make for my personal use and post a link to the blog or designer that I got my free stuff.   But of course I have to ask permission first if I am allowed to do that.  Well, I hope somebody out there will say yes… if not, then the most I can do is just share my works with you by posting my layouts here in my blog.

The Use of Headers

I am now trying to see how this header function works.  I clicked the Header 1 and typed The Use of Headers and that’s what came up.

Heading 2

So now I am using the Heading 2 option and that’s what it will looked like.  It is automatically in all capital letters with spacing in between and small letter size.

Heading 3

Heading 3 looks similar to the font used in the Post Title.

Heading 4, 5 and 6

This time around Heading 4-6 are the same with that of the Post Body.

Linking Post Tutorial

Got to visit again today the site of my “master” on blogging and she’s got a very valuable information on linking post.  She said that  “When you are offering another link within your blog, it is important to have that link open up in a new window.”  I have actually noticed this already with some of the blogs that I have frequented.  And this idea sounds great really because it keeps your reader/visitor/guest on your page longer.

I am going to try to do it and I hope it will work :-)… If not, then try again ha ha….as always!!!!  If you would like to check out the site of my master, then visit her at this site. (Once clicked, that link should open a new window).  And by the way, please do visit also my other site where I showcase my layouts… MyPhotoblog. (Here, the link replaces the blog itself)

In her tutorial, her instruction in doing this is  “You do that by using the target="_blank" function and Editing the  HTML in your post to add the TARGET BLANK code to make it work!

But since I am doing this post using the Windows Live Writer, I think I don’t have to do it that way.  When you use the hyperlink function, you are given two choices, that is, whether to open link in a new window or automatically link to the text.  So it makes it easier here to do this thing.

I am crossing my fingers now…let’s check it now if it works!!!!

Learning How to Link

I am currently reading a tutorial on how to make links... I was curious then on how the other blogs do it.  Since I am new in this, what I did in my previous postings is the obvious thing to do, that is, specify the blogspot, copy and paste in the post the blog site...just that simple.

So now, I am following the instructions on this as given by Jeanette of Easy Custom Blogs and I hope I will do it right :-)....

WLW’s Photo Treatments

The Windows Live Writer has also editing features  for the photos being inserted in your blog – like crop and tilt –  aside from border treatments.

For the borders, you can choose from drop shadow, instant photo,  photopaper, rounded corners,  solid and reflection which is what I experimented in…

There are various actions in the advanced setting like rotate, contrast, crop, tilt and waterwark.

You can also add effects like black and white, sepia tone, emboss and other color adjustments and properties.

It really is cool huh…..

Experimenting with Windows Live Writer

Well, it is really trial and error and you’ve got to make “mistakes” to learn ha ha ha….

I did post something earlier, had it published (and this is where I was tackling about the “scatter” option for your images)  and was transported in my blog…then went back to WLW, made some experiments with the pictures (the grid-right option), edited the post title and the word content…then clicked the “publish”!!!  Guess what? Ha ha ha ha the 2nd post overwrite the early one… stupid me ha ha….

Well, I have to repeat it here… I just want to thank Jeanette of Easy Custom Blogs for the valuable information she shared with us… that is, the WLW.  The program is really cool, very easy to use especially in inserting pictures and they’ve got variations in presenting images in your blog.  Unlike in blogger, where the image automatically goes on top and you have to move it always to the place where you want the image to be and that’s a lot of work really.

And this is what the “scatter” option I am talking about… (I don’t like the white  background though…no idea yet if I can change it)…

Last is the Grid-Left option and it is just the opposite of the Grid-Right :-) …..  well,  there you have it…..those are the options you can choose from in presenting your photo albums in your blog….  Happy choosing!!!!

The “scatter” option is cute when your blog has a white background.  I don’t know if the color of the background can be changed to suit your liking.  This time around, this is the Grid-right option you can use for your images…

Another Try at WLW…

It was that fast maybe because I did change the date of the posting by a one day (maybe because of time zones i don’t know)…

So now I am putting an image but changing also the time of the posting to a day before and see what happens…

Trying a Post from Windows Live Writer…

I’ve posted two blogs using the Windows Live Writer with images on it but it is taking so long before they are published.  It is termed as “scheduled” in my posting list.  So I don’t have any idea how the post will look like with pictures in it.

I am now trying a post here from Windows Live Writer without any images in it and will see how fast it will be posted…
