My Videos for the Week

I added another gadget, this time comprising my favorite videos covering an entire week.  You just click on the menu to scan the playlist… and if you happen to like an item there, just click and it will play for you.  For starters, I picked the following videos…

v_pod

  • Your Song from the movie Moulin Rouge
  • Listen by Beyonce
  • Feels Like Home from the movie The Notebook
  • Alone by Heart
  • Another Day Live by Dream Theater
  • Watching the River Run by Loggins and Messina
  • Take This Love by Sergio Mendez
  • Wishing and Hoping from the movie My Bestfriend’s Wedding
  • Beautiful In My Eyes by Joshua Kadison

If you happen to like a video and would like it to be featured in the coming weeks, please feel free to put in your request at my CBox corner.  And in case you want to create your own music video (or MP3) playlist, just visit the site My Flash Fetish.  (I discovered this site thru my master Memorykeeper of the Easy Custom Blogs.)

Fun with Gadgets / Widgets

It’s been more than a month now that I started blogging and it is only now that I really had the time to see and check all those gadgets available for us bloggers.

I had already mentioned in my previous post on why I decided to make use of NeoCounters and CBox Gadgets.  And when I  saw now  where “on earth” my visitors come from,  I felt its time to add a Language Translator.   I owe it to my readers the convenience of this gadget.

Putting a clock and a calendar was my next step.  I know there’s a time that we are somehow busy, so a clock on hand will be of help (although this will only apply for Philippine readers)

Since I love anything with inspirational words in it, I also included this gadget to read and be reminded from time to time the importance of life itself.

And since I like music in general, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a music playlist on my blog.  But since not everybody wants music while they are reading blogs, I opted to just put a music playlist where you have the liberty to choose which music to play or if you want sounds at all.

Well, I think that’s all for now… gonna add for more if and when I see something interesting…

NeoCounters and CBox Gadgets

Really cool to have a NeoCounter in your blog!!!  It is an innovative and unique web counter that displays your visitors on your website by country and city.   Now I don’t have to wonder where “on earth” my visitors come from….If you don’t have it yet, you can try getting one at NeoWORX.

And I also decided to add a CBox Gadget to add a new dimension of interactivity to my website!!!  CBox is a unique commenting and chat widget and it’s fun and easy to use.  So please check my CBox and leave some lovin’ because I love to hear from all of you….

Making Headway w/ My Blinkie

I woke up 3 in the morning and can’t catch my sleep again, and as always, it’s my computer who’s my reliable companion in this time of need ha ha ha…

And since I’m having a lot of patience this morning :-) I decided to make a blinkie for My Photoblog site.  I made it a little bigger than the usual blinkie that I see (200 by 125) to suit my taste.  I created the animation using Picasion.  The downside of this site though is that you can use only a maximum of 10 frames, so limited for my liking.  I don’t know yet if it is possible to go beyond ten frames.  But anyway, it can suffice for the moment.  And so here’s my blinkie ….

Scrap a Blinkie – My Style

Two days ago, I wrote about my ordeal about the “blinkie thing”.  Well, I did pass the stage thing of incorporating it in my blog site.  This time, no hitches with the hosting site.  But… and a BIG “BUT”….. I haven’t produced yet a satisfying blinkie of my own.  There are so many exciting and adorable blinkies out there and I have no idea yet how they are done.  What I am after to learn is how they seem to move around (not just simply changing pictures).  Let’s take a peek at some blinkies that I do admire….

There are still a lot of outstanding blinkies but I think I have demonstrated clearly already what message I am trying to impart.  Somehow I have an idea how to do it but what I am thinking would entail a lot of work to do (making numerous images, step-by-step movements).  And I don’t think I have a lot of patience for that now…. :-(

So, for the meantime, I made this blinkie, “my style” which I am posting in my sites, situated at the right corner of my blogs.  I just love the phrase “Live, Laugh and Love” and so I surfed for different variations of it….

There you are… “my blinkie” for the moment…. till I come across a tutorial that will suit my needs ha ha….

Note:  The site I used for doing the blinkie is Picasion, as suggested by Memorykeeper in her tutorial at her site Easy Custom Blogs

Scrap A Blinkie

Days ago, I had tried my hand in scrapping a blinkie.  I got this tutorial with the “master” herself…. Memorykeeper of Easy Custom Blog.  Back then, I was successful in making the blinkie but failed to incorporate it in my PhotoBlog site.  When I asked the help of my master, she said that maybe that time there were technical difficulties with Blogger because sometimes that happens.  I should just try again.  Well, I haven’t gone back to that process simply because I wasn’t satisfied with what I have done.  It is too blurred for my liking.  If I got inspired again with this “blinkie thing”,  and produce a more satisfying one, then that’s the time I will continue with this aspect.  And to show you my “yuckyyyyy blinkie”, here it is ha ha….

Scrap My Signature!!!

This is my second tutorial in dressing-up my blog and it's all about Scrapping My Signature!!!  It is still courtesy of the Easy Custom Blogs.  It is also my first attempt to make a PNG file.. What I do not know right now is how to delete the border when it appears on the blog.  But for now, I have to settle for it I guess until when I don't know ha ha ha :-)

Scrapping My Blog Background

It's been 12 days since my first post (January 27 actually) and I guess it's about time that I learn how to "dress-up" my blog!!!!

I checked on Chingjp Designs (http://chingjp.blogspot.com/ ) last night... she was thanking a friend blogger and mentioned about her sidebar Digital Retouching.  I looked at it and "Easy Custom Blogs" caught my attention and so I headed for it.  This is the first time that I stumbled into a site that caters mostly on to how to "beautify" the look of your blog.  It is very informative especially for beginners like me and my first tutorial on Scrapping My Blog Background began... Mind you... it's no joke really,  it was mostly trial and error because I had to find a layout that will suit already my existing look and features of my blog.  I would suggest that at the start, you find time how to do this before all those blogging.  You can visit her site for more tutorials at http://easycustomblogs.blogspot.com/  ...

Next stop at that Digital Retouching sidebar..Allie Brown's Layouts (http://alliebrownslayouts.blogspot.com/ ) .. and this is were I got my "scrapbook look" for my PhotoBlog site.  She's also into tutorials and also a great site to follow.  What's good in here is that she has already provided the direct link, meaning you don't have to download the background layout and post it in an image hosting site.  The layout that I chose also has a matching header but sad to say, I wasn't able to do this.  After so many trials, still the layout header won't come out in my blog :-(

And this background layout, the Elegant Rose, I got it from http://deliciousfx.blogspot.com/ .  In here, you will download the image.  The first time I did it, I just had it as is but the size didn't fit with the screen.  So I resize it and followed the size mentioned at Easy Customs Blogs..and luckily that did it.

So far, I am quite happy with the look of my blogs...maybe its time now to look at those other tutorials available in these sites so as to really dress-up my blogs :-) .....
